Regular fire inspections
A legal obligation: operational checks of closures
Fire doors, windows and walls must be in operational condition — and that is verified by a regular inspection. We carry it out on closures we manufactured or upgraded to fire-resistant, and we will arrange any repair of damaged parts.
The operational check must take place at least once a year. Without it, your closure may not protect you in the event of a fire.
Fire closures are fire safety equipment — their job is to prevent the spread of fire. To perform that function, they must be checked regularly.
Legislation
Why inspections are mandatory
Under Section 2(4)(f) of Decree No. 246/2001 Coll., fire closures are equipment for preventing the spread of fire.
As with any fire safety equipment, their operability must therefore be verified. A regular inspection also extends the lifespan of the closures and prevents costly repairs.
The operational check must be carried out at least once a year. We inspect products we manufactured or upgraded to fire-resistant.

What we check during an inspection
We verify the completeness, integrity and functionality of the closure and its individual parts.
- Visual check of the completeness, integrity and functionality of the closure
- Check of the fire-protection (intumescent) strips
- Check of hinges, mounts and overall seating
- Check of locks and fittings
- Check of door closers and their adjustment
- Check of seals and drop-down (threshold) strips
- Verification of functionality for devices connected to EPS (smoke detectors)
- Check of identification labels and documentation
Inspections by the manufacturer
We inspect products we know
We carry out inspections on fire closures we manufactured or upgraded to fire-resistant — we know exactly how they should work and what to check on them.
During the check we immediately adjust the door closers and top up the seals and point out the parts that are worth repairing. If needed, we also arrange the repair of damaged parts so that the closure continues to perform its function long-term.
