Fixed glazing, opening and atypical

We make wooden windows to fit every opening — from simple fixed infills to double-sash and arched shapes.

  • Fixed glazing (non-opening)

  • Side-hung or top-hung for cleaning
  • Atypical and arched shapes

Before we start production, we will prepare a 2D or 3D model of the windows to give you a better idea.

From materials that are hard to burn

We make fire-resistant windows from materials that are hard to burn but easy to work and adapt to the desired look — from DP3 to non-combustible DP1 parts.

What we make the windows from

We use materials that are hard to burn. The construction is complemented by fire-resistant strips and sealants that, in the event of a fire, expand many times over and seal the joints.

  • Laminated euro-profiles and solid wood
  • MDF with veneers and various types of plywood
  • Fire glass for glazed infills
  • Fire-resistant strips and sealants that seal the joints

We can also make wooden DP1 windows

Where you would otherwise have to reach for aluminium or steel, we supply a window that looks like wood — yet meets the strictest construction requirement for non-combustible parts.

Thanks to their properties, the most popular are windows with a grenamat construction. We make wooden DP1 windows in any shape, but only as non-opening (fixed glazing). We often combine the windows with fire doors into complete fire walls.

Thanks to bespoke manufacturing, we adapt the windows to the character of every building, including historic ones.

Need an exact replica of existing windows with fire protection? No problem — we make replicas according to the original appearance and materials used, without disturbing the character of the building.

Your most common questions

What fire resistance do your windows offer?

We make wooden fire-resistant windows in classes EW15 – EW60 and EI15 – EI60, with DP3 and DP1 construction parts. The products are tested and certified in accordance with the relevant national and international standards and are verified by TZÚS Praha and PAVUS, a.s.

Are your fire-resistant windows attractive in design?

Yes — our windows are designed with aesthetics in mind, so they suit any building and look like ordinary wooden windows. In the case of historic replicas, they are an exact replica of the original windows.

What materials do you use to make fire-resistant windows?

We use materials that are hard to burn but easy to work with — laminated euro-profiles, solid wood, MDF with veneers and various types of plywood. We complement them with fire glass and fire-resistant strips and sealants.

How is it possible that wooden windows don’t burn?

Wooden windows do of course burn, but only after a given time. This time is given by the numerical value in their fire resistance. For example, EW-30 = they resist for 30 minutes and only then burn. This allows people to be evacuated in time and prevents fire from reaching, for example, escape routes.

Will you make a replica of historic windows?

Yes. We make replicas of historic windows with certified fire resistance according to the original appearance and materials used — handcrafted to order so that they fit the character of the building.

What do the EW, EI, DP and other markings mean?

DP1 – products that do not release heat during a fire and therefore do not increase the intensity of burning. DP3 – products that release heat during a fire. EW – products that limit fire for a certain time (EW15 = 15 minutes). EI – products that prevent fire and are tight against smoke penetration. SC – smoke-tight products with automatic closing.
