Fire protection modifications

Do you want to consistently protect your property?

Fire protection modifications POZUZ will solve fire resistance without the need for production of the new door.

You failed the fire department with fire safety? We will help you your door change to fire doors

We can easily convert your existing doors to fire and smoke doors without the need to replace them and make new ones. This way, the fire-rated door will retain its appearance and save you the cost of replacing it with a new fire-rated door.

You have a door, but the fire department told you it had to be fireproof? We'll add (on the non-historic side if it's a historic door) fire-resistant material, fire tape, certify the door, and make a new door frame. This turns a door without fire safety into a fire door.

Did you know that fire foam is blown to the wood frames and fire sealant is used around the windows? Fire tape is used around all opening things. Tape gains 200 times its volume in a fire, and so does sealant. This prevents the passage of smoke and fire.

With us, you have an open fire door

We guarantee compliance with fire safety

All our products meet the required fire safety classes and are certified for use in buildings. Our products are verified by Technical and Testing Institute of Construction Prague, s.p. (TZÚS) and the company PAVUS, a.s.

Fire doors meet fire safety ratings EW15 - EW30, EI15 - EI30 with DP3 structural parts.
Fire windows meet EW15 - EW60, EI15 - EI60with structural parts DP3 and DP1.
Fire walls comply with EW15 - EI60 and can be freely combined with fire doors and windows made of different materials.

The most frequently asked question

Our fire doors and windows are tested and certified in accordance with relevant national and international standards to ensure a high level of fire resistance.

How fire resistant are your doors and windows?

Yes, our fire doors and windows are designed with aesthetics in mind, so they fit into any interior. In the case of historic replicas, they are exact replicas of the original doors and windows.

Are your fire doors and windows attractive by design?

We use high quality wood, non-flammable materials and high heat resistant glass to ensure a high level of fire resistance.

What materials do you use for fire doors and windows?

Of course, wooden windows and doors will burn, but only after a given time. This time is determined by a numerical value in their fire resistance. So, for example, EW-30 = 30 minutes and then burns. This allows the timely evacuation of people and prevents fire from entering, for example, escape routes.

How is it possible that wooden doors/windows don't burn?

Fire doors are designed to provide a high level of fire resistance and to prevent the spread of smoke and fire. They have special seals and a special design that prevents smoke and heat from penetrating into other areas for a period of time.

What are the differences between fire doors and conventional doors?

Laws and standards regarding fire safety vary depending on the country and area, but in general, every building should have a fire protection system, such as fire alarms, fire extinguishers, fire doors and windows. Worldwide, fire safety is determined by firefighters in the PBG.

What are the legal requirements for fire safety in buildings?

DP1 - Products that do not release heat in the event of a fire and therefore do not increase the intensity of the fire.

DP2 - products that do not release heat in the event of a fire and therefore do not increase the intensity of the fire (used only for manhole doors).

DP3 - products that release heat in the event of a fire, so that they increase the intensity of combustion.

EW - fire limiting products for a certain period of time (EW15 = 15 minutes) (E - integrity criterion for fire resistance, W - surface radiation criterion),

EI - Fire-resistant and smoke-tight products (E - integrity criterion for fire resistance, I - insulating ability)

SC - Smoke-tight products to prevent the passage of smoke (S - ability to reduce/prevent the passage of smoke or fumes, C - automatic closing of the door into the frame)

What do EW, EI, DP and other fire safety designations mean?
