For designers, architects and heritage specialists

Do you need an exact replica of existing doors with fire protection? No problem. We make doors with various levels of fire resistance — EW15 – EW30, EI15 – EI30, DP3.

We design and make the replica so that it fits perfectly into the character of the building and into the requirements of heritage conservation. The investor, designer and fire officer all get a solution that combines historical fidelity with modern safety. If you would rather keep the specific original doors, we also offer to upgrade and refurbish them to fire-resistant.

Replica of historical doors and frames

Replicas exactly like the original

We make the doors and frames by hand to order from solid wood, laminated euro-profile timber, veneered MDF and plywood, so we can faithfully reproduce the divisions, profiling and surface of the original elements — and add fire-resistant glass, intumescent strips and sealants. The replicas thus combine the look of the original with the properties of ordinary wooden fire doors.

Our doors are

  • glazed — with fire-resistant glass
  • panelled — solid, in classic and historical designs

And they can have frames

  • casing (lining)
  • block

We can combine replica doors with replicas of fire windows, creating entire fire walls with a period appearance. We prepare everything to suit the building, the designer, the architect, the investor and the fire service.

Your most common questions

What fire resistance do your doors and windows offer?

Our fire doors and windows are tested and certified in accordance with the relevant national and international standards to ensure a high level of fire resistance.

Are your fire doors and windows attractive in design?

Yes, our fire doors and windows are designed with aesthetics in mind, so they suit any interior. In the case of historical replicas, it is an exact replica of the original doors and windows.

What materials do you use to manufacture fire doors and windows?

We use high-quality wood, non-combustible materials and glass with high heat resistance to ensure a high level of fire resistance.

How is it possible that wooden doors/windows do not burn?

Wooden windows and doors do of course burn, but only after a defined period of time. This time is given by the numerical value in their fire resistance rating. For example, EW-30 = they withstand fire for 30 minutes and then burn. This allows people to evacuate in good time and keeps the fire out of escape routes, for instance.

What are the differences between fire doors and ordinary doors?

Fire doors are designed to provide a high level of fire resistance and to prevent the spread of smoke and fire. They have special seals and construction that prevent smoke and heat from passing into other areas for a defined period of time.

What are the legal requirements for fire safety in buildings?

Laws and standards vary by country and region, but in general every building should have a fire-protection system — fire alarms, fire extinguishers, fire doors and windows. In the Czech Republic, fire safety is determined by the building fire safety design (PBŘ).

What do the designations EW, EI, DP and others mean?

DP1 – products that do not release heat during a fire and therefore do not increase the intensity of combustion. DP3 – products that do release heat during a fire. EW – products that limit fire for a certain time (EW15 = 15 minutes). EI – products that resist fire and are tight against smoke penetration. SC – smoke-tight products with automatic door closing.
